Steering Committee Goal: To provide guidance and direction for the Transportation Alliance
  • The Steering Committee shall be comprised of no less than nine (9) and no more than twenty-one (21) members.
  • Steering Committee members must be members of the Transportation Alliance.
  • Members of the Transportation Alliance interested in becoming members of the Steering Committee will be required to complete and return an application, indicating their interest and willingness to serve on the Steering Committee.
  • Applications for a position on the Steering Committee will be made available to all members of the Transportation Alliance at the full Alliance meeting that precedes the Annual Meeting.
  • Applications for the Steering Committee will be reviewed by current members of the Steering Committee at their regular meeting in the month prior to the Annual Meeting, and a slate of nominations created.
  • The slate of nominations for membership on the Steering Committee will be presented to the membership of the Transportation Alliance for a vote at their Annual Meeting.
  • Members of the Steering Committee will serve for a two-year term beginning with the first meeting of the Steering Committee following the Annual Meeting.
  • At the conclusion of a two-year term, members of the Steering Committee can reapply to retain their position on the Steering Committee.
  • The Steering Committee will meet monthly, at a pre-determined date, time and location, with the exception of months when the full Transportation Alliance membership meets.
  • If a member of the Steering Committee is unable to attend any of the monthly meetings, a representative can be designed to attend in their place.
  • If a member of the Steering Committee misses either three consecutive meetings or a total of five meetings in a 12-month period, without appointing a representative to attend meetings, it will be understood they are no longer interested in serving on the Steering Committee and a letter will be sent to them informing them of their removal from the Steering Committee.
